Events for 2007:
We are currently bringing on as many local suppliers as possible within the menu at the restaurant.
A lot of shellfish and fresh fish comes from Seahouses Harbour, from the fishing fleet which still docks here.
Patrick at Swallow Fish is now supplying sides of smoked salmon and his Kipper Pate that we turn into fish cakes.
Lindisfarne Oysters from Ross Sands near Holy Island are the local oyster producer on our doorstep.
All the beef, chicken, lamb, and some pork comes from Mick the butcher at Carters of Bamburgh. Not forgetting his award winning Bamburgh Banger.
We have sourced a quality pig from Lowick, which gives us Chorizo sausage and Gammons for the terrine and boiled ham for eggs Benedictine. Parma Ham will be available in the summer.
Dairy Produce comes from Roger of Davisons Dairies and our eggs are from Sunny Hill Farm at Belford which produces free-range eggs.
Again in the Belford area, a group of local farmers have produced quality virgin Rapeseed oil which is more nutritious than olive oil and contains more Omega3. Its'name is Oleifera.
Cheeses and ice creams are from Doddington Dairy near Wooler.
Some hard vegetables are from Morpeth and Teas and Coffees from the Smith Brothers at Ringtons.
We have put this together in retail portions for you to enjoy either back in your home counties orat the family dining table just around the corner, with easy to follow instructions.
It is our aim this year to assist you to create quality meals in your own residence. Please ask us and we will do our utmost to source and aid your culinary experience.
